Yip - believe it or not, I got down to some scrapping a managed to completed 4 (yes that's FOUR) pages over the weekend - so totally chuffed with myself. Now just need to scan them and start uploading my work here.....the other plus was that I don;t have to buy a single thing for at least the next 9 months or so, I have so much stashed away and I'm using that first!
I haven't done any scrapping for the past 8 months or so - what with the goods being on the ocean for approx. 12 weeks of that time and all the other stuff that has gone on (maybe I'll share one day, but right now its all still a bit raw and sore). So I was so excited to be able to get my pages done! And I have to thank Cathy for getting my inspired and excited about scrapping again...and its true, scrapping is not just about the good times, add in some of the bad and in years to come we can look back on those pages and realise it wasn't so bad after all and it has just made us stronger and wiser!
So the other trick I learnt from Cathy was to sort my photos, add a page sketch then pick the paper - store together and when I have time to scrap, I grab my folder and just pick a page! Soooo much simpler!
Well I'm back, I'm excited and looking forward to the next stage of my life - watch out world!

The 'great trek'....
I have been so quiet for some time now - but thing got hectic here very fast. Yip we finally decided to make the 'great trek' across ocean and continent to the land of the long white cloud - New Zealand.

Mister left SA just after Christmas with the children and I following at the beginning of April 2009. After a very looong 13 1/ hours flight, 3 hours layover in Sydney and another 2 1/2 hour flight to Auckland, we arrived just before midnight which helped get us into our new time zone quite quickly. These are some pics of the children at the airport and our first views of Auckland from the North Shore. And yes, it really is a beautiful city!
The children have started school - Kelby going into Year 11 and Nicholas is now in Year 9. For the first time every they go to the same school - a bit of a challenge for both of them.Posted by Theresa de Villiers at 11:34 PM 1 comments
Aren't they gorgeous...
What can I say, I guess I must be biased - but wow my children are just stunningly beautiful! I am so proud of how they are growing up!
Both are strawberry blondes with stunning blue eyes - how did I get so blessed!
